The spotlight shone bright on 7 September 2025 as the 47th annual Mr & Miss Benoni pageant took centre stage at the elegant aha Kopanong Hotel & Conference Centre. Hosted by Rampage Modelling Agency, this year’s event celebrated more than just beauty — it was a showcase of confidence, purpose, and community spirit.
Forty talented finalists took to the runway, each representing the heart of Benoni with elegance and individuality. The evening, themed around the vibrant energy of the Las Vegas Strip, delivered glitz, glamour, and unforgettable performances. With a total prize value of R350 000, this year’s competition was one of the most rewarding yet — both in opportunity and achievement.
Your 2025 Title Holders
After weeks of preparation and dedication, Trent Govender and Ofentse Mkhonto were crowned Mr and Miss Benoni 2025.
Nineteen-year-old Trent Govender, from Farrarmere, impressed the judges with his confidence, sincerity, and grounded charm. Though new to the pageant world, Trent’s genuine personality stood out. He shared his hopes to use his title to support Benoni SPCA and Child Welfare, reflecting a heart for giving back to his community.
Seventeen-year-old Ofentse Mkhonto, a Grade 11 learner at Benoni High School, was radiant as she accepted her crown. As the founder of Prime Purpose, a non-profit organisation that raises awareness for people living with disabilities, Ofentse’s mission is deeply personal and inspiring. She plans to expand her outreach within Benoni, continuing to empower and uplift others through her work.

A Night to Remember
The 2025 pageant dazzled from start to finish — from the synchronised opening performance to the elegant evening wear showcase, each contestant reflected the confidence and poise that Rampage Modelling Agency strives to instil.
The judging panel featured a line-up of respected industry figures, including Mr Benoni 2024 Stephen Marinov, Miss Benoni 2024 Dunay van Zyl, Tandi Potgieter, Thembi Letsoalo, and Yakim Junade Ali. Their task was not an easy one, as every finalist brought their unique flair and determination to the stage.
Community support was once again at the heart of the event, with over 5,000 votes cast in the People’s Choice Award, won by Hope Kutama and Siyabonga Mhlongo.
