FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Complete the online entry form, pay the R750 entry fee via Paystack, for EFT payments attach proof of payment to your entry form or email to claudine@rampagemodels.co.za.

Applicants for both Mr Benoni and Miss Benoni must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. Applicants who are 17 years of age at the time of entry are also eligible, provided they will turn 18 within the calendar year of their reign.

Not necessarily. You may enter if you live, work, or study anywhere on the East Rand.

Yes, as long as you did not win 1st place previously. Former finalists, runners-up, debutants, and People’s Choice winners are welcome to enter again.

No. This competition is only open to individuals who have never been married and are not the parent or legal guardian of a child.

No modelling experience or agency representation is needed. Mr & Miss Benoni is open to everyone, regardless of experience.

To help contestants prepare, modelling classes are offered at Rampage Modelling Agency for no extra charge during the competition period. These sessions help build confidence, teach basic ramp and stage skills, and ensure you’re comfortable with walking, posing, and public presence.

No. There are no body requirements or restrictions. All shapes and sizes are welcome. Tattoos and piercings are allowed, as long as they are tasteful and appropriate for public events.

The only compulsory fee is the R750 entry fee. There are no hidden costs.

Optional personal expenses may include:

  • Clothing for the swimwear and formal wear rounds (you may wear what you already own, or rent/borrow items)
  • Hair and makeup (mandatory for female contestants but does not have to be professionally done)
  • Transport to and from events
  • Additional meals or costs for friends and family

Once your entry and proof of payment have been received, you’ll get a confirmation message. If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to the semi-finals.

Semi-finals take place at Rampage Modelling Agency (23 Miles Sharp Street, Rynfield, Benoni). It includes a short interview and a simple ramp walk. This is an opportunity for the organisers to meet you and get to know your personality.

Finalists must be available from mid August to late September. You’ll be expected to attend:

  • Weekly rehearsals (Mondays & Wednesdays, 18h00–21h00)
  • Team-building activities
  • Charity projects
  • Photoshoots
  • The Grand Finale on 26 September 2026

No, as a contestant in Mr & Miss Benoni 2026, you are not required to secure your own sponsor or be responsible for any sponsorship fees. Rampage Modelling Agency will assign each contestant an official sponsor to represent throughout the competition.

Yes. Tickets will be sold through http://www.rampagemodels.co.za under “Events and Tickets” at R465 per person. No tickets will be sold at the door. 

This includes:

  • Table seating
  • A three-course meal
  • Live entertainment
  • The full Mr & Miss Benoni production

There will be a special prize for the contestant who sells the most tickets.

 

Yes. If you have someone you’d like to be paired with, we’ll accommodate that. If not, we’ll match you with another contestant. Please note that you will be judged individually, not as a pair.

The event will take place at ANEW hotel. Contestants must arrive fully prepared. The schedule includes:

  • Opening choreographed performance
  • Swimwear walk
  • Live entertainment
  • Dinner break (spectators will be served; contestants will be catered backstage)
  • Formal wear walk, with a short introduction and sponsor thank-you
  • Announcement of the Top Finalists
  • On-stage Q&A round for the Top Finalists
  • Final crowning and prize-giving

Yes. There is a swimwear segment. However, you may wear any outfit you feel confident and comfortable in, such as sarongs, swim shorts, t-shirts, or cover-ups, as long as it represents swimwear.

Heels are encouraged for female contestants but are not mandatory. You are welcome to wear shoes that suit your comfort level. Practicing in heels is recommended if you plan to wear them.

Hair and makeup are required for all female contestants on the final day, but you may do it yourself or get help from a friend-professional services are not required.

The competition is fun, exciting, and a great opportunity for personal growth. Contestants can expect:

Yes. Mr & Miss Benoni is a charity-based competition. All contestants are expected to either raise funds or collect goods in support of Knights Charity Association. There is no minimum amount required, but the contestant who contributes the most will be crowned Mr or Miss Debutant.

Photos of the finalists will be posted on the Benoni City Times website. The public can vote for their favourite contestant-voting is free.
