Project Sky Aviation is a South African aviation company dedicated to making hour building more accessible, flexible and rewarding for pilots working towards their commercial aviation careers. Founded in 2021 by pilots, for pilots, Project Sky provides a professional Hire & Fly hour-building solution, giving pilots access to reliable, well-maintained aircraft to build the flight time and PIC hours they need for their next aviation milestone. They are not a flight school – their focus is simple: providing pilots with the freedom and opportunity to fly.

What makes Project Sky unique is its community-driven approach to aviation. Beyond hour building, the team creates opportunities for pilots to explore South Africa through organised fly-away experiences, bush flying and shared aviation adventures. Many Project Sky pilots also devote flight time to a cause close to their hearts – partnering with The Plane Project to fly essential supplies to remote, hard-to-reach communities across South Africa.
